The RWB Porsche, short for Rauh-Welt Begriff, is an automotive sensation that fuses Japanese and German car cultures into a unique and visually striking masterpiece. Each RWB Porsche is a custom-built creation that embodies art, performance, and personal expression. Here, we will delve into the overall process of acquiring and owning an RWB Porsche, from the initial inspiration to the final product.

INSPIRATION AND RESEARCH: The journey begins with inspiration, often sparked by seeing an RWB Porsche online, in real life, at a car show, or in a magazine. Fascinated by the iconic wide-body design and the fusion of styles, you dive into research, learning about the RWB philosophy, its founder Akira Nakai, and the incredible attention to detail that goes into each build and locating an RWB partner in your country.

THE BASE MODEL: Once captivated by the RWB Porsche, the next step is to find a suitable base vehicle for the transformation if you don’t own one already; this involves the following: Porsche 911 (models: G-Body, 930, 964, 993, 996 and now the 997) making sure it meets specific criteria such as mechanical condition, authenticity, and compatibility with the RWB conversion.

AUTHORISED RWB PARTNERS: The authenticity and quality of an RWB build heavily rely on the skills and expertise of an authorised builder. Connecting with a certified RWB partner ensures that your vision is executed flawlessly. Research and reach out to the RWB partner to find a builder who resonates with your ideas and shares your passion for creating your automotive art.

CONSULTATION & DESIGN: Before commencing the build, you’ll have a consultation session with the RWB partner. This step involves discussing your preferences and the overall design direction. Akira Nakai might also participate in this process, adding his artistic touch and ensuring the build aligns with RWB’s core principles.

PAINT AND FINISH: The exterior of an RWB Porsche is a canvas for self-expression. Once the bodywork is complete, the car enters the paint booth, receiving a flawless finish. The choice of paint colour is entirely up to the owner, allowing endless possibilities. Some opt for vibrant and attention-grabbing hues, while others prefer more understated elegance.
